The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.

SASSA will be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed about the significant variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The services position created for intervention activities a large sassa status inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for your office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to allow the servicing of all shoppers and increase entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
